Dear Panel,

I really like my teacher. I don't know how to let her know that I like her a lot and that I want a relationship with her. Please help.

– Pat

Male, age 16, USA

Lefty

You let her know that you like her a lot by showing up in class and studying and listening to what she says. That's the relationship she wants with you.

Dear Panel,

I am a 17-year-old guy who's short (about 5'6''), a little overweight, has never had a girlfriend. I have a serious confidence problem, mainly because I don't know if I'm totally unappealing to women.

I think I am a nice guy, I always give women the respect they deserve, and I'm not afraid to go completely out of my way to help someone I care about. So why am I so unappealing, or am I at all?

– Brent

Male, age 17, Ohio

Lefty

OK, who sent in a letter for me?

Ashlee

Don't try so hard.

I am 14 and I've had sex with a 21-year-old, but I was willing. Is it still considered statutory rape? And can we still have sex?

– Jenny

Lefty

You weren't willing according to the law. Or according to what I think.

Dear Panel,

I was in a relationship when I was 14-years-old with a 20-year-old. I got pregnant at 15 and had the baby and he abandoned me.

Now I am 21 and my son is 5 years old. Now that I know about that law, can I still press charges? I didn't know what I was doing then and did not know the law.

Dear Panel,

My girlfriend of 4 years left me back in April. As it turns out for another guy (that's a whole different story). I am only 21, and we were engaged.

In the long run, do you think it's better people my age wait until the their late 20's to get married? Not to mention, it was the first serious relationship for either of us. It still hurts, and I will always love her, but as each day passes, I am starting to think us breaking us was the best thing.

I guess my question is, should I stay single now for as long as possible? I mean, I got my whole life to be married, right?

– ABS

Male, age 21, Florida

Lefty

Right. And you won't regret it until you're my age.

What can I do to forget my lover, who's getting married 5 days from now?

– Alexandrea

Lefty

If he's marrying you in five days, don't worry. Otherwise, he shouldn't be your lover.

Clove

Throw yourself into work/school/hobbies. Also, don't bother calling him again.

I don't understand because he is talking to another girl. I just want to know why don't he want to talk to me anymore. After we had sex he just stop talking to me.

He must believe that sex and talking are incompatible. Show him that it's just him that's incompatible.

Dear Panel,

I have been dating this guy for about a year. Recently it has gotten more serious, but he has told me that I need to go out with my friends more. Sometimes he needs time alone, and he gets frustrated. When he does, he gets distant.

What should I do?

Dear Panel,

I am in a relationship with a girl I really love. I've been with her 2 years.

I want to have sex with other women. I find myself thinking about it a lot. I don't want to hurt my girl, and I don't want to break up with her. But I feel like I would be happier if I could get together with other girls.

I like the sex we have together, I just want to have some with others. I know this would hurt my girl. This has happened to me in previous relationships. Is there something wrong with me?

– Variety, The Spice Of Life?

Male, age 31, Canada

Tommy D

Yes there's something wrong with you, it's called a Y chromosome. If you don't want monogamy, don't practice it.

Sorry, that's the last question.
