She Is My Best Friend
You're right, about her being a really neat friend, anyway.
She is my best friend, in fact, and I treat her in that
consideration next to my other friends because of our (emotional)
intimacy.
You said this friend of yours was with his girl for 5 years.
Good for both of them--and I'm sorry to hear that you and
the rest of the gang were pissed--but personally, I'd reevaluate
my friendship with any people who seemed to be jealous of
the time I was spending with my her.
She Gives Me Deep Fulfillment
But alas for the "Crucial" Years! What can I
say, except that I find much deeper fulfillment bonding
with her in this time than I would living the single scene;
even if she was closer to my age, I really doubt I'd be
spending my time any other way (e.g., out with her and oodles
of older friends) partly because that's just the way that
I am.
And 4 years? 15/19, 16/20, 17/21, 18/22. There I go. I
fully accept and acknowledge the differences between our
'levels,' small though they may be in our eyes.
Four Years Is Nothing!
Four years? Pshh! I'm just glad it's not 7! Or 10! You
get the idea. People have had greater challenges laid before
them before. I'm not going to delve any deeper now into
the whole 'star-crossed lovers' cliche, but thank you for
your opinion and response.
I disagree with a lot of it, but it also gives me much
to think about and respond to.
And yes, I love English--language in general, really. I
just HOPE that hasn't drawn me into any of my teachers'
fantasies--yuck! = P
