Dear Panel,
My girlfriend and I are in a very amazing
relationship. We've been together since the beginning
of the year in a distance restricted relationship.
We've Always Lived Apart
I am going to be a senior at the University
of Illinois and she lives up in Chicago about 2 hours
away. We've progressed wonderfully despite this distance
between us and truly love and cherish each other.
The problem comes in now though. She is
going to be a freshman at the University of Arizona
next year.
We Knew It Would End When She Goes To
School
From the beginning we knew that our relationship
would end when she leaves for school. Now that the end
is near she continues to stick to the original plan
saying that she needs to live her life out there without
any strings to tie her down.
I Don't Want To Break Up
I on the other hand have made it clear
that I want us to stay together and whatever happens
happens. I will feel cheated if we don't at least give
"us" a chance when she leaves.
We are completely in love but we disagree
on this. And I am confused and don't know
what to do. We obviously are at different points in
our lives, but we're so good together.
What do I do?
