Dear Panel,
My name is Jen and I am 17.
I love my boyfriend more than life itself
and lately we talk about spending the rest of our lives
together.
My boyfriend is 17 as well and is the
sweetest, nicest boyfriend ever and all I want to do
is be his forever.
We'll Be Apart this Summer
We both live in England right now but
the problem is, he will be going to California for the
summer. While he is gone I will be moving to Louisiana.
Consequently, when he gets back I will be gone. THEN
in November he will be moving to Alaska.
By next summer we will both have finished
our senior years and at that time we plan to begin our
lives in California (where we are both originally from).
He Wants To Get Engaged
My problem is that Kevin wants us to get
engaged before he leaves. I know he wants to do so because
he doesn't want me getting with any guys while we are
apart. I know that I won't and have told him so but
I think he is still nervous.
I know I want to spend the rest of my
life with Kevin, and since I know that we will, I don't
want us rushing into things. (like getting engaged)
I want our engagement to be special, so I can remember
it forever.
How do I stop him from rushing it and
drop the hint that I really want a special engagement?
