I've been in a controlling relationship for 8 months Bob (my boyfriend) grew up in a home where his dad was violent towards his mom.

His Parents Are Losers

His dad, who is in prison now was a cocaine addict and his mother, who takes care of him now is addicted to heroine.

My Mom Thinks He's Dangerous

My mom disapproves of our relationship and thinks he is dangerous. Bob and I are always fighting. He has never been violent towards me while we were fighting, although he always "plays around" by wrestling and stuff.

He Pushed Me Very Hard

We got in a fight 3 days ago and I was trying to get away from him. I ran away but as he often does, he held me back so I couldn't get away from him. I started hitting him and he pushed me very hard.

I fell about 3 feet away from where he pushed me on my hip where I am still sore. He then got very scared and started crying. I asked him why he was crying and he said that he was afraid I would break up with him and also scared because he saw his dad in himself when he pushed me. He made me promise him that I knew he would never hurt me on purpose.

Should I be worried about this incident. Should I give him a second chance or get out now?
