Dear (Freak),
Okay, first of all... don't ever ever ever ever ever call yourself
a freak! You are a person, worthy of respect, just like everyone
else, and especially from
yourself.
See Yourself in a Positive Light
I learned a long time ago that you cannot go through life expecting
everyone else to see you in a positive light if you don't do that
yourself.
Stop Looking
Okay, now, one key thing I would suggest is to stop looking for
someone. I used to feel the same way you do. I thought I was going
to end up being the "cat lady"-- you know, the one that
all the kids are afraid of that has about 30
cats?
Well, anyway, I finally left everything for lost and stopped trying
to find love to make me happy, and started getting involved in hobbies
and things, making
myself happy.
Be Happy With Yourself
Once I was happy myself, the guys around me started noticing this
and taking interest in me. I've noticed that people in general are
attracted to a person because of the way that person makes them
feel when they're around.
Try Faking Happiness
If you're mopey and sad, people won't want to hang around, but
if you put on a smile and are excited about life, people will be
drawn to you. And even if you're not "genuinely" happy---
try faking a smile and laughing, sooner or later it catches up to
you and you start laughing for real!
And remember-- having a wife and children is not the only thing
in life that can bring happiness and fulfillment. Have you ever
talked to God? Do you know
Jesus? They have brought me the greatest joy of all.
If you'd like to know more about them, please e-mail me. Karrie@loveandlearn.com.
I'll be praying for you!
Keep a smile on that face! It'll be okay, I promise!
