Why do opposites attract?

Survivor Answers:

Dear Confused,

"Opposites attract" is a law of nature, and while it does not always apply to human nature, it usually does, and that is how it is.

Sameness Is Boring

Mo

You don't want someone like you because you're too self-critical.

I have never personally married, gone out with or had a relationship with anyone who was "just like me". I mean how boring can you get?

If you were with a person that liked the same things all the time you would never need to find things to compromise about, look at her/his side and try to appreciate and enjoy things different, and that to me would be a relationship made in hell.

Change Is Necessary

Change is a great factor in life and is necessary in a relationship that is to be ongoing, maybe for many years.

Maybe It's a Woman Thing

Jeannie

Attraction is NOT just a woman thing.

She is just not attracted to you, and maybe it's a woman thing, which is something you or I will never know the answer too. Understanding women is like being a layman and trying to understand The Theory of Relativity, you can get the basics, but full understanding, not possible.

Mr. Survivor You Can't Decide for Her

She will be attracted to who she wants, and unless you and she discuss the matter in depth, it is none of your business, and besides, who the heck are you to decide for her who she is compatible with?

Gillian

I agree – he should stop thinking so much and accept the friendship.

She is just not there for you, except as a friend.

Your feelings are your feelings, apparently not hers.
