Answers:Dear Curious, College Doesn't Matter in Relationships
Personally, I have never been to college myself. I went straight from high school to the work force. But I believe that relationships aren't really that much different no matter what stage you are in. First Time Real Relationships Are Possible
The reason that people think that college is where real relationships are built is because it's a possibility. At that point in your life you are more mature. After high school you realize what you want in a friend and don't settle for anything else. Also, in college you are making decisions that will alter the rest of your life. That also includes relationships. That doesn't mean that people won't continue to hurt you further down the road but that is a different story. Not Everyone Meets Their Spouse in CollegeMost people believe that you meet your future husband in college. For some that may be true. But not everyone meets their ROMEO/JULIET in school. And the fact that you are only thinking about marriage because all your friends are getting engaged means that you are definitely not ready. Relationships Shouldn't Start SeriouslyI think that there is nothing wrong with your frame of mind right now. All relationships, when first starting out, should be taken lightly. That's because you don't know what may happen in it. Don't get serious unless you are really ready to make that kind of emotional commitment. When To Think About MarriageYou are only a sophomore in college. I feel that you should think about marriage once:
Meet as Many as You Can
You are in the prime of your life. Enjoy it!!! If you meet guys with the sole intention of marrying them, you'll scare them away or you won't get to know the real person because you keep judging him on being HUSBAND MATERIAL. So while you are in college, make the most of it. Meet as many people as you can and think about marriage when you're ready. Hope I've Helped, What do you think of Answer?
