Should I contact her after 25 years?

A Guest Answers:

Dear Steve,

Closure, Friendship, or Romance

Go for it!

If she doesn't want to see you, you'll have closure.

And if she does, then you might at least get a solid friendship going.

If the old love re-ignites, that's great. But be honest with yourself about whether that's what you're expecting.

A similar situation happened in my family and the parties involved are great friends now even though there's no romance.

Her Parents May Still Hassle You

Patra No, her parents are no longer an issue.

If she's living near her parents, or if you start dating, they'll likely hassle you again, but you're adults now, not teenagers, so I think you can cope better.

Contact Will Help You Move On

In any case, contacting her might help you move on, whatever the direction.
