Dear Cassidy,
Don't String Him Along
First of all, if Corey cares about you as much as it seems like
he does, you need to break it off with him if you're not completely
happy. It's not fair to him to string him along when he thinks everything
is great and you're secretly unhappy.
Wait until You're 18
Then, you need to talk to Ryan. Tell him exactly what you're feeling,
and see how he responds. However, if he IS interested in you as
"more than friends", I would suggest waiting until you
are 18 to start seriously dating. I know from experience the consequences
that can result from dating men too much older than you. If he really
likes you, then he shouldn't have a problem waiting a year or so
to be with you.
Let Him Down Gently
If you do decide to break up with Corey, try as hard as you can
to let him down as gently as possible. Since he cares about your
feelings, you should take care not to hurt his.
But always remember that your first responsibility is to yourself.
Do what will make you happy in the long run!
