Dear Panel,

I am 17 years old and in my last year of high school. I am currently in a relationship with my first boyfriend. I am learning so much about relationships from my boyfriend, as he is older and more experienced than myself. I am still a virgin.

My boyfriend is 19 and is studying at the university level. He has had several girlfriends before and is a wonderful boyfriend to me. He realizes that I am less experienced than he is and encourages me to find out more about myself as well as him and our relationship.

Whenever my boyfriend and I are intimate, he is the one who gets things rolling. I always thought that he was okay with this so I have grown used to his ways. This has been happening for about 6 months now.

We were talking the other night and he said to me that it bothers him that I don't make the first move. I am not sure when is the right moment to start something like that and if he's interested at that time.

I now feel ready to become sexually active with my boyfriend, but I am worried about making the first move.
