Should I drop cyber person who's much older?

Dear Panel,

I was wanting to meet new friends, etc. on the Internet. Met this one person very nice later to find out this person is 16 years older than I am.

There's no way I could be interested in that big a age difference. 6 years older than I am is too old for me. Should I just drop this person cold turkey or what?
