Dear Panel,

I'm a very pretty & attractive woman. I have a  stable job & I just bought a car. I just cant seem to find a man though. I've never had a serious relationship, they don't last more than a month and I've been told that I'm a good person with qualities most men want. I recently meet a man of my dreams but, as with the other guys I get involved with, it only lasted for a month and he disappeared. What should I do? I'm at a stage where I feel I should throw in the towel and forget about men but I still

I'm curious about the one-month relationships - what happened?

Hey a month is pretty good for some people.

§ singletin2.gifWere any of the guys someone you wanted to get to know better or have a deeper relationship with?  What happens during the month?

Now that you've thought about it a little, time for the advice part: relax.  I just heard of a woman who got married at 49 and gave birth to twins at 51.  Not that labor at 51 seems terribly appealing, but think how much a single woman can do in the first 49 years of her life . . . travel, buy a house, explore different career options, pick up a few degrees, meet fascinating people. . . all of which would be seriously impacted in a relationship, particularly with a guy you settled for!

I have a feeling that the guys you date are not the guys you want, but maybe you tell them they are right away just in case they turn out to be him.

They are clearly not the right guys if they don't love her.

singletin2.gif What qualities does the man you see for yourself have?  What kind of person is he?  Where will he be, and what will HE be looking for?

Stop thinking about what is wrong with you and start thinking about what is right with what you can bring to a relationship with the right guy. Then, tell everyone you know what you are looking for - they might know him and be willing to introduce you!  Or, start looking where HE is.
