I'm a 26-year-old computer software trainer living in sunny
California.
I was born in Viet Nam and arrived in the U.S. at the age
of 11. I like outdoor activities and traveling.
I've Had One Serious Relationship
I've been in one serious relationship which lasted 4 years.
It was a rocky relationship because we were both only 19-years-old
when it started. Both she and I were in love for the first
time and didn't really know how to deal with it. I have regrets
from that relationship, but I've also learned a lesson or
two. We broke up because we just had to find out what else
was out there.
Communication Is The Backbone Of Any Relationship
I'm currently in a 4 month new relationship with a 31-year-old
woman. Just now am I learning that communication is the backbone
of any relationship. It doesn't matter how good looking you
think the other person is, or how great the sex is. If you
can't express your feelings to each other, things will fall
apart.
In between these two relationships, I've had my share of
unsubstantial flings. I think you learn a little bit from
everyone you get involved with.
I'm still trying to figure out my philosophy on relationships
is. I still have faith in true love and romance. I enjoy all
things romantic.
I'm Trying To Love and Learn
I've always disliked the word "WORK" when it comes
to relationships. It just seems to take all the fun and excitement
out of the whole thing. However, I'm afraid that without work,
relationships do not seem to survive very long. I do believe
that to a very small extent, everyone must learn to compromise
with their partner. So, like the name of this website, I'm
trying to love and learn.
My viewpoint may be different because although I've been
through failed relationships, I still have a lot of hope.
Seems that other people I've met can become quite jaded after
a while.
